Hello! I’m Alexandra Gallant, a 25-year-old web developer and front end designer living in Brookline, Massachusetts. I work full-time at a non-profit, focusing on web strategy, content development and maintenance, and user support. We are currently in the thick of a massive undertaking – a needs assessment study of our users to determine what they want/need, a collaboration across institutions, card sorting, usability testing, redesigning our current web presence, and much more! I’m really interested in content strategy and really being thoughtful about content and design and how those affect user experience as well as the identity/branding of your company (or yourself).
In my spare time, I create any kind of art you can think of – I make it a goal each month or so to try a new medium. Over the past year, I’ve tried screen printing, lino cutting, knitting, crochet, calligraphy, jewelry-making, and Gocco. My preferred media are digital illustration (Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop), acrylic paints and glazes, and simple, traditional pen and ink.
